The Capital City Club Downtown, Columbia, SC experienced a Jamaican takeover over during the Memorial Day weekend.   This location was perfect for this Jamaican bride to exchange vows with her American King.  The Capital City Club Downtown is located on he 25th floor of the Capitol Center skyscraper.

First Look Capitol Center Marble Floor

The Capitol Center is location at 1201 Main Street, Columbia, SC.  It has a lots of gems on the first and second floors. We knew the marble floor, located down the escalators, would serve as an amazing backdrop for Brandan’s and Nordica’s First Look.  This First Look is my all time favorite.  The emotion, perspective and lighting were magical!

Wedding Portraits

Since we were ahead of schedule, we ventured up the State House steps for some wedding portraits.  We struggled to get through the formals.  Nordica brings so much energy into a room, it was hard to keep a straight face.  Laughter was the only option. Nordica’s long veil allowed us an opportunity to be creative.  Additionally, I could see looks of adoration from Brandan the entire time.  This is how a couple should be on their wedding day.

The Marriage Proposal

Brandan planned a surprise trip for the two of them to visit the Biltmore in Asheville, NC.  This is one of Nordica’s favorite places to visit.  Brandan would put off visiting the Biltmore as a part of his plan to change her last name.   Nordica had no clue this would be where Brandan would pop the question.  As the couple walked around the rose garden, Brandan seized the opportunity.  As Nordica was taking pictures on her iphone, with her back turned, he called her name.  She turned around to see him on one knee!  The rest is history.  what is it???
